The other place of employment. By the time this entry posts, I will be setting up the outside display.
This store has been here for over seven years, and I haven’t noticed it until this summer. You look at the world differently when you are looking for “Help Wanted” signs.

Over the next three months, I will come here more often than I ever have in my entire life, and that includes the out-patient fiasco about seven years ago.

Hanover changed. Many places age, grow older with time. Hanover, instead, grows newer. Main St still holds its rural, if polished, New England charm, but icons of outside civilisation have begun to appear along the sidewalk. A 24-hour CVS opened at the edge of town. The Dartmouth Bookstore is no longer independent, and now is a Barnes and Noble. Boloco, a small Boston wrap chain, holds a spot on South Main. Most noticeably, a Bank of America now stands where the old Fleet building used to be.
But some things in Hanover never change.

I was five minutes late! I swear! Five frickin’ minutes!
Like vultures, I tell you.
